So this reads more as "you're absolutely fine as you are but if you want to look as the standard is supposed to be then you would look good like that too". The fan saying he should keep it is also part of the problem. Still not fine comments but let's also put our think caps on.
I get being sad about what was said but lets not act like Sn is some man of power? They're both victims of a system that normalizes this for idols. They wouldn't follow these if they didn't think them normal. Doesn't make it good but the problem was and will always be the system.
👤 Why have you gotten so handsome?
🐶 I think I did the right thing by dieting
🐶 Honestly I wasn’t completely sure about it at first
👤 Your face is the best
🐶 Oh so I’ve become “the best face” now
🐶 But then…
🐶 Before the promotions San told me…
🐶 “You already look really good as you are but maybe try losing a little more weight”
🐶 “I think you’d look really good on camera if you did”
🐶 That’s what he said to me
👤 San?
🐶 Yeah
🐶 After hearing that…
🐶 I thought “Oh should I give it a try?”
🐶 Because up until then…
🐶 I had never dieted to this extent before
🐶 So I decided to take on the challenge
🐶 But honestly I couldn’t really tell just by looking in the mirror
🐶 Then the people around me started telling me that I had lost a lot of weight
👤 But the response among atiny has been good too, hasn’t it?
🐶 Yeah exactly
🐶 The interesting thing is…
🐶 Fans keep telling me “Yeosang, don’t lose even one more gram”
🐶 But since they also seem to like how I look now…
🐶 I’m a little confused
🐶 Should I maintain this weight?
🐶 Or should I just go back to how I was before now that promotions are over?
👤 I think maintaining it would be better
🐶 I like this. I like this kind of feedback
"Sn shouldn't have said that to him" true. "Sn is a typical Korean man after all." Not really. He is conditioned to think what will look best on camera by a standard that is also for him. And I'd argue that normally he is the one to talk about the importance of food...
I wanted to share my thoughts on this matter because the elitism is actually kinda insane in this fandom. At the end of the day the problem was it ever being brought here. All the vague posts too for something that apparently "is not even bad". We are humans and fans. We worry.
How people being sad/curious for not knowing what was said is bad but bringing attention to it by vague posting about it and telling people it exists is okay... Like yeah I couldn't afford fromm this month and now I am worried and feeling bad for not paying.
Also wording always matters. I understand it could be just wrong wording, it happens. But people are valid to feel upset when seeing people say "Seonghwa wanted to share only with atinys". Atinys who can't afford it are still fans. Also it's a fact that antis exist on fromm so-
@bunnybunnyhwa People now miss breaking the wall but when we were breaking the wall people were crying that ateez are making noise music like everyone else 🤪 Eras will always be like that. During Fever people wanted Treasure, during The World people wanted Fever and now people want The World.
@msvanillagrace@_strhwaberry Because people didn't want thanxx to win due to ca so there was collective agreement that even if you didn't like inception and preferred thanxx we'd all support inception 😭
@skatersangg@_strhwaberry No hate but there were people making fun of treasure having tourists in it and pirate king being just a performance video 😭 And there were people upset that Yeosang didn't sing because he had half a line.
@bunnybunnyhwa People were hating wave when it came out. Same with deja vu and eternal sunshine. People absolutely hated bouncy until everyone just switched up. Crazy form had people saying atz are losing their meaningful lyrics and their lore and work was a whole mess.
