Popular Nigerian TikTok star and streamer, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has revealed that he narro₩ly esc÷ped being involved in the f÷tal car cra$h involving music promoter Sam Larry, saying his det£ntion by the police unexp£ctedly saved his l!fe.
Speaking during an appearance on the Honest Bunch Podcast, Peller disclosed that he had planned to travel with Sam Larry on the day of the acc*dent but was unable to do so because he was in police cvstody.
“I was supposed to be in Sam Larry’s car the day he had the car acc*dent because we planned to go see someone in a h0tel that day, but I was in pr!son. I spent four days inside the cell,” Peller said.
He also alleged that he had evidence of police hara$$ment on his phone, claiming officers later pl£aded with him to delete the recordings.
Peller’s arr3st occurred in early July after he was stopped by police in the Lekki area of Lagos while driving a tinted vehicle without a number plate.
A video from the inc*dent circulated online, showing the content creator accvsing officers of hara$$ment and alleging that they pointed a gvn at him during the confrontation.
Following the arr3st, Peller spent about four days in det£ntion before regaining his freedom on ba!l. Reflecting on the experience, he described it as life-changing, saying it made him more cautious about l!fe.
Just days after his arr3st, Sam Larry was involved in a d£vastating road acc*dent along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road. His vehicle reportedly cra$hed into a trailer, leaving the car b÷dly dam÷ged. The acc*dent claimed the l!fe of his bouncer, Adewale, while Sam Larry surv!ved and was h0spitalized.
Peller’s latest revelation has sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many describing the seqvence of events as a miracvlous esc÷pe and a case of divine intervention.
Neither Peller nor Sam Larry has issved any further official statement regarding the claim beyond the podcast interview.
