We are a friendly caving club based in the City of York, only 90 mins drive from the major caving areas of Ingleborough and Wharfedale in the Yorkshire Dales.
A fab joint Christmas mine trip and meal with our friends at North York Moors Caving Club. Thanks to The Crown Inn at Hutton-le-Hole for accommodating us (and putting up with us) again this year! 📷
Another successful joint Christmas trip with our friends at North York Moors Caving Club. A group of 21 people in one highly complex mine with some pretty poor air. What could go wrong?
Everyone out safe (we think) followed by a long evening of food, drink and silliness.
Great evening at and at the Kendal Mountain Festival Petzl Underground session.

Brilliant long weekend staying at Chelsea Spelaeological Society hut in South Wales. Agen Allwedd outer circle, Craig a Ffynnon and a romp around the Clydach Gorge to see the Ogof y Daren Cilau resurgence.

Back to The Sang for a new dig. Excellent turn-out although the glorious weather wasn't exactly encouraging people underground! ☀️

Pumping started again for 2023 exploring in Jenga Pot. A few mechanical issues with the generator but it started eventually! 🔧
Divers are booked to tackle several unexplored open sumps this year so looking forward to more discoveries!

A great night's digging work has lead to some very exciting developments for the North York Moors. A new stream cave, unrelated to the Jenga/Excalibur system! We'll post more about this in the coming weeks 😉⛏🕳

Awesome weekend in Coniston. Walking and faffing around in copper mines. Thanks to the Yorkshire Mountaineering Club for hosting us in their fine cottage. 🙂

Finally back through the sumps and into The Covid Extensions in Jenga Pot. Another 150m of cave surveyed in The Second Wave including the first part of the new streamway. Not a bad afternoon's work for the North York Moors!
