Highlights from Last Week’s York Mosque Madrasah Award Ceremony 2024!

We had a fantastic day of pride and celebration last week! 🎉 It was a wonderful opportunity to recognise our students for their dedication, hard work, and achievements.

Sadly, through a rumour spread on social media, the grief of the community in Southport has been hijacked by the EDL resulting in the attack of a mosque in Southport, escalating into rioting, injuries to several Police officers as well as fires to various properties.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families who lost their loved ones, those who were at the party and were injured, those who witnessed the stabbings, the emergency services who responded to the emergency, the peaceful community of Southport and the wider UK population.

If the mosque car park is full, you can use the car park at Lidl to park your car there, which is only few minutes walk from the mosque. They have kindly allowed people to park there for up 2 hours.

Dear brothers and sisters.

We have received recently many complaints from our neighbours regarding attendees using residents parking bays and blocking people from exiting their drives.

The council will be issuing PCN for cars parked illegally and the police may impound your car if it is blocking the road.

Please try to walk to the masjid or car share if possible.
