Reports of a road traffic collision on the A19 Southbound at Crockey Hill near the junction with Wheldrake Lane.

Remains of what is believed to be 1 of the largest medieval hospitals in the north of England have been found inside the void on St Leonard’s Place. Work to repair the void continues and it's hoped that the road will reopen to 2-way traffic on 13 June.

As part of the ongoing Station Gateway project, Queen Street will close to traffic from 7pm tomorrow (Sat 24 May) until 6am on Tue 27 May.

There will also be a lane closure in place on Queen Street from 8am tomorrow morning until the closure starts.

We've removed the temporary lights from St Leonard's Place until Tuesday, when work will begin to repair the void in the road. On Friday and over the bank holiday, please continue to use the temporary bus stops pictured on the map

Queen Street will close to traffic from 7pm Sat 24 May until 6am Tue 27 May.

The road will close to buses, cyclists and vehicles. Pedestrian access will be maintained. The gates at Lowther Terrace will be open as normal.
