@1MoreSmithHere @MerlinAero Hopefully we can get an explainer video from @MerlinAero on what mission autonomy is. Like what real-world problem it solves and how Merlin achieves it.

[yorky @YorkerTweets]

@heightsjewelry @MerlinAero On one hand, I get what you're saying. But given how long it takes for certification and gov contracts to work, I have a feeling they've considered this as a better option. Hope to get clarity from $MRLN in the upcoming ER

[yorky @YorkerTweets]

@ebarica Private valuations are often inflated which is why you see them selling for far less in secondary markets.

NFA - $MRLN IMO should be between $3 and $4 considering their tech, talent, partnerships and contracts, and higher when rev starts flowing.

[yorky @YorkerTweets]

Possibly why $MRLN is working towards tactical and collaborative autonomy

There is strong defense tailwinds for autonomy space heading into 2027.

This table is from mandatory DoW defense budget which is 1/3 discretionary budget which is separate.

@ke0in Thanks for sharing. Solid research! Do you have any data King Air C90 or has it been idle? All public trackers have owner requested no tracking.

[yorky @YorkerTweets]

@ke0in USCG is one of the main operators they're targeting for ISR.

[yorky @YorkerTweets]

@ShawarmaCapital BTW there were signs if you look at the open highest paying job listing, GM Maritime.

Hoping to see some traction in ISR space. These are not point A to point B missions, and require decision making based on sensor data.

My bet is first recurring rev comes from this product.

[yorky @YorkerTweets]

@sanitzisf6k @ShawarmaCapital Yes, that is a possibility and a risk I'm willing to take

[yorky @YorkerTweets]

@Anawatlbtb oh! i'm not sure

[yorky @YorkerTweets]

$MRLN Many are disappointed and unclear what today's announcement means. Let me breakdown the phases:

buy | integrate | *train* | demo | partner/contract

They're in training based on flight tracker data and likely not far from demo. News of multi-aircraft teaming is also new

[Merlin @MerlinAero]

Meet the newest addition to Merlin’s test fleet: the Aero L-39C Albatros.

Serving as our dedicated jet testbed, the L-39 will support development of Merlin Pilot for tactical aircraft and dynamic military missions with its higher speeds, a wider operating envelope, and compressed decision windows.

@Anawatlbtb It's in the screenshot :)

[yorky @YorkerTweets]

Civilian regulation can take time but service branches and agencies are far more likely to adopt such tech faster, and have made the urgency of workload reduction and autonomy clear. This is a step in the right direction IMO.

[Another Smith Here @1MoreSmithHere]

Agreed. Truth is, this platform likely owns up growth towards multiple pursuits:

-CCA 1.0 Autonomy software partner (loyal wingman and similar)
-CCA 2.0 Partnership
-MMA Autonomy partner
-MALET (Medium Altitude Long Endurance Tactical) programs
-High Speed VTOL programs
-others

@MerlinAero ‘s existing partners/relationships all have existing development awards (or are key participants in the pursuits) for all of the above programs: Lockheed Martin (I’m watching this one closely), Northrop Grumman, Textron.

Side note: Merlin’s A-GRA work may be a key component of the positioning they have today.

[yorky @YorkerTweets]

@wacbinvesting @MerlinAero @ShawarmaCapital @1MoreSmithHere Hope you didn't miss out the accompanying message from MG which clarifies the need https://t.co/pIGMT3CfGQ

I feel ya since stock price is gutted, but I'll take this over no PR. FlightAware shows they're being trained. Hoping to hear progress, partnerships, and contracts soon.

[Matthew George @NotMattGeorge]

The Aero L-39C Albatros is the newest addition to Merlin's test fleet. Here's why we chose this aircraft 👇

[yorky @YorkerTweets]

@1MoreSmithHere @MerlinAero FAA certification can be slow. ISR missions and jets are better bets at quick adoption from various service branches. Even if it's just a demo I'm hopeful this will unlock a lot of opportunities from DoW and allies.

[yorky @YorkerTweets]

@Poelmans737 As a pilot, do you think Merlin will substantially help with your workload even if crew size doesn't change. I've seen way too many air crash investigation episodes where pilot fatigue is the cause.

[yorky @YorkerTweets]

@ke0in $MRLN Part of me wishes they'd focus on C130J to conserve capital on revenue earning projects. But I'll admit they have a better grasp on reality. Eager to see what oppurtinities this'll open up.

[yorky @YorkerTweets]

@pharmdaz We've been asking for more transparency on progress and they're delivering. Honestly, I don't care if it's intentional or not.

The information they're disclosing is very helpful for me in validating my thesis for going long.

Shots have had their way, let Merlin have theirs.

[yorky @YorkerTweets]

@1MoreSmithHere @MerlinAero $MRLN @MerlinAero additionally their ability to plug into existing aircraft sensor system is brilliant! Just connecting the dots between C90 sensors, L39, and DoW partnership, it's just the right system for mil applications unlike competitors that use bespoke lidar/sensors.
