My grandfather, Private THOMAS ROBERT PEARSON HOLLOWAY of the Hampshire Regiment, was killed at Monte Cassino in 1944, aged 27.

He fought and died for Britain, for democracy, and for the freedom of his fellow countrymen to hold different political views.
