I live in Normandy and people understand this.
We recently had the 80th anniversary commemorations for the liberation of our little village from the Germans. Some of our fellow villagers lived through it and told of the horrors as people were killed and their homes destroyed by the outgoing army.
They expressed deep gratitude for the role of the British, Americans and Canadian allies who saved them for further German occupation and servitude. Some of the liberators gave their lives to win that freedom.

“Let me stop you right there…”

Dude wasn’t having it. Mans was ready!
@johnnyianson@RadioAndrewE Nice words, Johnny. I never met Andrew, but I'm pleased that he is, in reality, the same as he comes over on the radio. I'm not sure what the management at BBC local radio are playing about at with all this reshuffle, but I wish @RadioAndrewE all the best.
@idontbakecakes If it was a Commis Chef, perhaps you might have needed to explain that you needed them to divide it equally! However it seems a fair division to me if you were getting the "Lion's Share"
