@vexmlk Seeing games like Paprium and Earthion land on the Sega Genesis in recent years gives me a lot of hope for a sort of "counter game industry" to emerge that flies in the face of the ballooning prices, prolonged development cycles, and gross corporatism that plagues the mainstream.

@vexmlk We need to make clone consoles and the active development pipeline of retro games more of a big deal than we currently do.

They used to be considered luxury products but the mainstream has priced them into budget status in comparison.

Feel like that's a good place to start.
