This is one of the saddest things that I have read recently. Such promising young men lost so early, and as always, and like those before them, become another statistic. The CM is happy meeting dignitaries; the party is wallowing in media attention on Islamabad's roads; the system patting itself on the back on 27th amendment passage. That's how we mourn them. 🤲😞
Do you remember Majeed Achakzai who overran a traffic Sergeant in Quetta in 2017 ..?
Thaterra is his niece.
Coming from that tribal, primitive background and mentality, she has the audacity to call others "Barbaric"....!!!
My sympathies for the people of Pakhtunkhwa. Another cult worshipper is elected CM. This is his first address for the people of a province getting consumed by unemployment, t3rr0rism, illiteracy & T@L-b@nization. Choosing clowns as CM’s has been a permanent for Khan.
Pakistan–Afghanistan border clashes are neither sudden nor unjustified.
When the Taliban took Kabul in 2021, the entire world vacated its embassies, Pakistan kept its mission open and even acted as a conduit for evacuees during the chaotic withdrawal.
In the post-US withdrawal UN-led conferences on Afghanistan, Pakistan consistently called for unfreezing Afghanistan’s $9 billion assets, and even used regional forums like ECO to lobby for the same.
Pakistan hoped for peace and stability. Instead, Afghanistan became a safe haven for TTP militants.
Yet, despite repeated betrayals, Pakistan tried every peaceful route. It engaged the Taliban regime through religious, tribal, and official channels.
In July 2022, an 8-member ulema delegation led by Mufti Taqi Usmani visited Kabul to convince TTA and TTP to stop attacks. A few days later, a 17-member tribal jirga also went to Kabul with the same message.
On February 22, 2023, a high-level delegation led by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif and DG ISI Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum visited Kabul to push for peace.
In July 2024, Interior Minister Naqvi led another delegation for security cooperation.
Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts weren’t empty words. Special Envoy Muhammad Sadiq worked to enhance trade ties, leading to the Early Harvest Programme (EHP) reducing tariffs on eight key agricultural items to benefit both sides.
But what did Pakistan get in return?
According to Pakistan Institute for Peace Studies (PIPS) data:
•2021: 89 attacks
•2022: 262 attacks
•2023: 306 attacks
•2024: 521 attacks
•2025 (Jan–Oct): 585 attacks
The worst betrayal came during Pakistan’s 4-day war with India in May 2025, when Afghanistan sent a 40-member TTP tashkeel, including the son of a Taliban official, to attack from the western front.
What triggered Pakistan’s recent strikes? Just one day is enough to understand.
On October 8, 12 soldiers, including a Lt Col and two Majors, were martyred in IBOs in Orakzai and D.I. Khan, carried out by TTP militants from Afghanistan.
Pakistan’s patience had run out.
Pakistan’s recent strikes were targeted and precise, aimed only at TTP terrorists being hosted in Afghanistan.
How did the Taliban respond?
By sending groups like Tahaffuz-e-Imarat-e-Islami Force (TIF) to attack the Police Training School in D.I. Khan, martyred seven policemen, and by launching a full blown cross border attack across Af-Pak Border.
Now decide for yourself.
Is Pakistan the aggressor, or a state defending its people from cross-border terrorism?
The photo u shared is misleading. It does not show the IG, who has the authority to make decisions or give orders regarding protests, but rather a regular police officer on duty. Like any1 else at work, he is simply carrying out orders.
If u watch the video, Officer Khanzeb is only explaining to the individual that they have crossed into the red zone,&that if they continue pushing the barriers, the police will be forced to act. EVEN In Canada, protest zones with barriers r strictly enforced&crossing them or laying hands on a police officer would bring serious consequences.
Posting a photo out of context just to malign some1 who is doing their job, &who has not broken any law, raises serious questions about ur credibility as a journalist.
U should have watched the video before targeting a vulnerable police officer.
I don't think I'm exaggerating by saying that this truly is the US's Suez moment: Saudi Arabia just entered into a NATO-like alliance with Pakistan whereby "any attack on either country is an attack on both."
The symbolic is extraordinary: Saudi Arabia was in many ways THE poster child of US client states. If they no longer trusts American security guarantees, why should anyone else?
And of course the fact this actually happened and wasn't prevented by the U.S. is immensely telling in and of itself.
This has so many other consequences that it's almost too much to fathom:
- First of all, it means that Saudi Arabia now benefits from Pakistan's nuclear deterrence (and the deal does include nuclear: a senior Saudi Official told Al Jazeera that “this is a comprehensive defensive agreement that encompasses all military means”, https://t.co/90hWQUmTQm). Which means we now officially have two nuclear-backed blocs in the Middle East: US-Israel vs Pakistan-Saudi. Additionally, Pakistan explicitly rejects a "no first use" doctrine - meaning Saudi Arabia now has a protector willing to use nuclear weapons preemptively.
- Given that 81% of Pakistan's weapon imports come from China (https://t.co/ZCPNfZSodQ), it also means that Saudi Arabia just indirectly aligned itself with the Chinese military-industrial complex
- This effectively extends the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) to the Persian Gulf, protected by Pakistani nuclear weapons and Chinese military technology - creating a secure energy corridor from the Middle East to China that completely bypasses the Strait of Malacca
- The timing is probably no coincidence, just days after Israel's strike on Qatar, the ultimate proof of the worthlessness of US protection.
- Other Gulf states, and probably in due times other countries "protected" by the U.S., are likely to explore comparable models in the next few months. In fact this might lead to a cascading collapse of the U.S. global alliance system, leading to an entirely new international system where regional nuclear powers become security providers.
- Hard to see how that doesn't permanently kill any chance of Israel-Saudi normalization: Pakistan does not recognize Israel either and with this alliance the Saudis now can resist US pressure as they don't solely depend on them for their defense
- It puts India in an extremely tough spot: its archenemy just became the security guarantor for one its primary energy suppliers
- This undoubtedly kills IMEC (India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor), the Biden administration's flagship grand strategy to counter China's Belt and Road that was supposed to connect India to Europe via Saudi Arabia
- There is a monetary aspect too: this is another nail in the coffin of the petrodollar system (an agreement to price oil exclusively in USD in exchange for US protection). Saudi Arabia is now much more flexible to price oil in whatever currency it wishes
And this is just what's immediately visible. As a final word: if anyone had any remaining doubt that we were now in a multipolar world, that debate is now settled permanently. American global dominance is no more.
@nadzfeministah It's a goodwill gesture that Pakistani government are sending all these high investors to their own country, so that they could uplift the economy of Afghanistan.
Take it positive 😏
