They do make some Scout scopes and handgun scopes with a long enough eye relief, that you can use them that far away from your face but they are not as common and well known as they use to be. And they would be mounted on a rigid structure, not a handguard.

@TheInspectorAsh @MisfitPatriot The scope mount "bridges" the receiver and the handguard. This makes maintaining a consistent zero difficult. It can work some of the time but you would never notice the wandering zero if you're a poor marksman; an obvious tell that someone doesn't know what they are doing.
