I think when we get to heaven, the places we served in secret will actually be what prompts Jesus to say, “Well done. Remember when you took the time to listen and love that person? That’s the day you helped change the world.”
"What I’ve learned about God...is that He often moves quietly. His actions are subtle & strategic. He gives us the space & the grace to freak out. He steadies us until we calm down. He waits until we’re ready to receive from Him. Then...His words become clear." @ItsPeaceAmadi
Y’all. I forgot about the summer adjustment of the kids getting used to EACH OTHER. The sibling squabbles today are something else. Happy first day of no school. 😅
Embrace the middle because God knows your future. The wilderness isn’t pretty, it isn’t easy, and it isn’t fun…but it’s better than what God brought you from. But it’s worth it. Because where you’re going is better than you can imagine. He wastes nothing. He sees everything.
God sees the process. He knows what He is bringing you out of, and He knows what He’s bringing you into. The middle isn’t forgotten, it’s divinely used to shape you for what’s to come. Don’t forget the goodness of God in the past and run back to what’s comfortable.
they were too focused on what God HAD NOT YET done to remember what GOD HAD ALREADY did. They couldn’t rest in knowing that the middle was preparing them for what He was yet to do….
The Israelites doubted God’s goodness in the middle. So much so that they would have rather gone back into slavery than remain in the wilderness. Because they had not received His promise, they lost sight of what He had already done. They failed to see His hand in the middle….
The question is, do you get up and make them stop or do you get those extra 3 minutes of sleep? Tag a fellow mom who can relate! #MomSleep#parentinghumor
In the spaces between the shock, the sorrow, the pain, and the confusion you are facing, God is there. And He desires to meet you with His grace, comfort, love, and assurance.
We can lay in bed with a soundtrack of fear and worry playing in our head, or we can drift off to sleep listening to music that will remind our souls how near, how faithful, and how good our God is.
Worship lifts our thoughts to a place where worry can no longer reach us.
