Schools can put reasonable adjustments into place for our neurodivergent and SEND children!
We all hear the excuses are around ‘cost’ and ‘funding’. Ive pulled together some resonable adjustments schools can put in place that will not cost them a penny!

Some young people are unable to regulate their emotions due to stress or unresolved trauma.

If we want young people to do better, we need to help them turn down the flames.

Teaching them self-regulation and looking out for signs of overwhelm🧠🌱

I worked in a supermarket at 18 and struggled to navigate it but just about managed. I wouldn't cope with a 2nd "job" meeting yet more people, and learning more things, I would have had more meltdowns

@GillianKeegan @Conservatives Is this a joke?! Our SEN children are struggling. Funding cuts due to the safety valve, no suitable school places. I now have 3 autistic children with EHCPs all failed by this system. An 18yr old who can’t read or write. An 11yr old who has situational trauma towards school!

A study into demand and supply of therapists for children SEND has found increasing need and complexity, but lack of funding to increase capacity. It says early investment has long term benefits, perhaps savings, avoiding worsening need. Who knew?
