Surveillance footage shows the heavyset white female, believed to be between 30 and 45, with dark hair, glasses, and tattoos on her back.

She used a tool to manipulate the locking mechanisms on glass-front niches containing remains at a West Houston cemetery along the Katy Freeway near Eldridge.

She targeted multiple niches and stole memorial jewelry and other items left for the dead.
This wasn’t her first time — there was at least one prior theft at the same location.

Precinct 5 Constable’s Office is now asking the public for help identifying her.
