Wine no 7 is Domaine du Bon Remede La Grange Delay Ventoux. Smooth and fruity, a well balanced wine with a nice level of acidity and well integrated tannins #uptonvillagewineclub
Wine no 5 is the first of the Reds and it’s a Domaine’s Pampres d’Or Cuvee Prestige Beaujolais 2015. It has a spicy fruity nose, bright and fresh in the mouth #villagewineclub
#wine no 7 is a Chianti Classico Villa Cafaggio from @waitrosewine a wine with a nice blend of savoury and fruit notes and a great January Sale price at £9.99
#wine no 4 at our village wine club is an Australian Chardonnay from @waitrose our theme is January Sales and this had a third off. It’s perfectly pleasant but not one I’m likely to buy again.
2nd #Wine of the evening is a White Rioja Tierras Del Isasa from @marksandspencer . It’s unoaked crisp and dry with notes of white stone fruits and grapefruit
Now we’re moving onto the Red wines. @TheWineSociety ‘s Red Burgundy shows the typical Pinot Noir notes of red cherries and raspberries. It’s young and fruity.
We’re kicking off this year’s wine club meetings (Sept to Jun) with Back to Basics, tasting the major grape varietals. Starting with 2 from @TheWineSociety ‘s the Society’s White Burgundy and Domaine de Villargeau Sauv Blanc. Both great examples of the varietals
