Today , at UNIOSUN, Ifetedo Campus. They sent the girls in school hostel out to go home all because they closed the school down . Is this how they plan to fix the issue on ground? Where do you want them to go ? This is unfair

I write with a heavy heart over the avoidable demise of Miss Osunlakin Grace, a 400-level Law student of Osun State University (UNIOSUN). The news of the death of this bright and promising student filled me with profound grief that words cannot adequately express.
First and foremost, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the entire student community, the bereaved family, and the friends of our departed colleague, Miss Osunlakin Grace. It is deeply painful that we lost one of our own to the cold hands of death due to the incompetence and negligence of those who ought to have provided the immediate medical attention necessary to keep her alive. This unfortunate incident further exposes the glaring inadequacies of the University's health facility. I pray that the Almighty grants all of us who are grieving the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
Even as we mourn, we cannot afford to remain silent on issues that directly affect the welfare and safety of students. Silence in the face of such a tragedy amounts to complicity. Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow and our eyes filled with tears, our voices must be loud enough to prevent future occurrences of this tragic and avoidable loss.
I have it on good authority that Miss Osunlakin Grace eventually lost her life because the University's health centre lacked the necessary drugs, equipment, and facilities required to stabilize her condition before she tragically passed away. This is both heartbreaking and unacceptable. How else can such neglect be described? Students pay substantial fees to attend school, and embedded within these fees are charges for healthcare services. It is therefore only reasonable that students should have access to functional and adequately equipped medical facilities whenever the need arises.
To be clear, healthcare is not a luxury; it is a fundamental necessity and one of the most critical services any educational institution owes its students. A responsible university management must ensure that its health centre is properly equipped with essential drugs, functional medical equipment, and competent personnel capable of responding effectively to emergencies. Unfortunately, the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate incident suggest a healthcare system that is grossly inadequate and ill-prepared to handle critical situations.
Had the University's health facility been adequately equipped and properly managed, Miss Osunlakin Grace might still be alive today. This tragic loss raises serious concerns about the state of healthcare delivery within the institution and the apparent neglect that has been allowed to persist for far too long.
In light of the foregoing, I strongly condemn the apparent negligence, insensitivity, and irresponsibility of the management of Osun State University (UNIOSUN) regarding the state of its healthcare facilities. I am equally disappointed in the medical personnel who have remained silent despite being aware of the inadequacies and challenges confronting the University's health centre.
We cannot afford to lose another student to circumstances that could have been prevented. The management of UNIOSUN must rise to the occasion, accept responsibility, and, as a matter of urgency, address the public on this unfortunate incident. The University must also engage with the family of Miss Osunlakin Grace, conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death, and immediately implement comprehensive measures to improve the institution's healthcare system and prevent a recurrence of such a tragedy.
To this end, we call on the management of UNIOSUN to immediately close the Ifetedo Campus where this horrible incident occurred until adequate healthcare facilities, equipment, drugs, and emergency response mechanisms are put in place to guarantee the safety and well-being of students.
Signed

It's so sad and crazy that someone who defended her project yesterday is no more because of negligence and nonchalance. A death that could have been avoided. I’m so pissed. RIP Grace 🕊️
@iambabtee We are signing out next month, and no parent deserves to receive such heartbreaking news. Students are currently protesting, but security personnel are reportedly restricting the protest

Today is a sad day at Osun State University, Ifetedo Campus. We lost a friend and coursemate, a finalyear student, allegedly due to negligence at the medical centre. Sadly, incidents like this seem to occur too often, with students being lost year
