Today, YDMS joined the fight for fair maps at the Legislative Redistricting hearing and press conference. Redistricting shapes who gets heard and who gets left out, and we refuse to be left out of that conversation.

We are excited for @FLOTUS to visit @CityOfJxnMS with @BennieGThompson tomorrow! In order to safely #BuildBackBetter, we must increase our vaccinated population here in Mississippi.
We can do this, but we must all do our part to continue the fight against COVID-19 in our state.
🗳🗣Don’t forget today is Municipal General Election Day! We hope you get out, and make sure your voice is heard by voting today. Polls close at 7PM.
Young Dem @CookForAlderman is running for Ward 3 Alderman in Olive Branch. We are wishing him much success tonight!

The Mississippi Supreme Court decision today does little to promote a state where young people are confident that our leadership is dedicated to creating a better Mississippi.
This is tough but we still remain committed to fighting for a better state for ALL who live here.
We are extremely disappointed and frustrated by this decision. Any day the rights and voices of citizens are stripped away and silenced is a grim day for our democracy.
The lasting effect of this will have a major impact on so many in need. Mississippi deserves so much better.
Today for the #JohnLewisDayOfAction, we join with others across the country to demand that HR4, the #JohnLewisVotingAct, is passed.
We hope to continue the legacy of John Lewis by getting into good trouble to end voter suppression in our state and country!
Today marks 100 days for @POTUS. He’s put shots in arms and money in pockets as promised. He affirmed—in front of the entire country—that “health care is a right and not a privilege” during his address to a joint congress last night.
Well done Mr. President! We are behind you!
