@DavidPiesing63 If the plus element is removed it becomes the same regressive tax the public and deputies rejected multiple times under Helyar’s disastrous tenure. We’re then back at square 1 vis a vis tax reform. It would be a very silly thing to do.

The reason Deputy Sloan has decided he cannot support GST+ is precisely the reason a majority of the public now quietly support it.

Opposition evaporated like a shallow puddle on a hot afternoon the day the + element was announced.
