Young Healthwatch we were joined by Jodie, Lauren and Katherine from Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust @ccs_nhst
We discussed ways of engaging young people in the ELSA Study, which screens children for type 1 diabetes in our area @elsadiabetes@NIHRresearch
Information on the Study:
Children aged 3-13 can have a simple finger-stick blood test to determine their risk of developing type 1 diabetes in the future.
Currently open to families living in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
