Liverpool Young Carers saw Merseykids last night. A cool history of the Pool, it's perfect for all ages. It's funny and sad, with great acting and singing by young people from @MYA_SPACE. Couldn't stop laughing at Billy Butler with his deckchair. Two shows today @EpsteinTheatre.
π’It's almost showtime!
Our wonderful MERSEYKIDS by @BrianMcCann8 opens this evening at the @EpsteinTheatre.
Months of hard work and planning will come together and we can't wait to share our performance with you.

On #CarersRightsDay, Liverpool Young Carers tweet: πI hope to be a nurse & I have good role models; all children need role models prepared to help & teach them β€οΈWe should be able to stand up for what's right. No-one should be made fun of for what they look like or who they are.
On #WorldChildrensDay we're sharing our film Lockdown 31 about Article 31 of the UNCRC. If you're an adult please remember that you have a role in helping children have their right to play and a cultural life.

Watching Sacred Heart at the virtual Liverpool NOW Festival 2021... "Lean On Me" is the best and most hopeful of messages and St Joseph's dance routine brought smiles to our faces... and we all need that right now π

Really powerful messages in such a short amount of time from Kitchen Sink Live at the 2021 Liverpool NOW Festival... and can we be proud of the young carers who are also in your piece??!

On #CarersWeek, Liverpool and Wirral Young Carers talked with the High Sheriff of Merseyside, Nigel Lanceley DL about the reasons that young carers matter and how it's OK to ask for support. Respect to Nigel for wearing his uniform at our request on such a hot day!
@HS_Merseyside
On #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek members of our Young Carers Social Influencing Group dialogue online with @Liverpool_YAs Elle and Aimee (also a young carer) on how schools can support attendance. Really looking forward to seeing our thoughts lead to change for all young people π
