$DEBT is more than a meme. Like $PNUT, it serves as a symbol and a reminder that something meaningful can start from something small.
The project began with satire, but the mission is real. The U.S. national debt is one of the most pressing long-term challenges facing the country. It will not be solved overnight, and neither will our efforts to address it. What may seem symbolic today is the foundation for something with lasting intent.
The economic outlook is increasingly fragile. Inflation remains elevated, borrowing costs are rising, and debt servicing is becoming a growing burden. Years of policy decisions across administrations have compounded the issue, and there is still no credible path forward from the political establishment.
At the same time, new movements like Elon’s America Party are beginning to form, with a focus on reform, leadership, and national renewal. While no party or individual is perfect, we believe this is the kind of change America needs. Our vision is to position $DEBT to support that shift — whether through campaign contributions, public initiatives, or funding efforts aligned with real reform.
We are not trying to meme our way out of a crisis. We are laying the groundwork for something serious, with a long-term mindset and a clear purpose.
