⛵️This week, The Princess Royal joined sailors and spectators on the Isle of Wight to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Cowes Week.

Founded in 1826, the event in Cowes attracts over 60,000 visitors and more than 5,000 sailors across hundreds of yachts, each year.

💥 Her Royal Highness kicked off the regatta by firing the cannon which sends the first fleet into the Solent.

The Princess - who is Admiral of the Royal Yacht Squadron, Patron of the Island Sailing Club, and Patron of UKSA - saw how the regatta is run for the thousands of competitors across more than 40 classes.

Her Royal Highness also took to the Solent herself, sailing out to watch the races first hand. 🌊

Over the weekend, The King attended the Mey Highland Games in Caithness, Scotland. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The programme celebrates the best of traditional Scottish sports including heavy weight competitions, Highland dancing, track events, tug-of-war and junior athletics.

His Majesty has held the title of Chieftain at the Mey Highland Games since 2002, taking over from his grandmother Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.

Last week, The Duke of Kent welcomed @RNLI lifeguards to Kensington Palace, in recognition of their lifesaving work as the charity marks 25 years of lifeguarding.

🛟 RNLI volunteers provide 24-hour search and rescue services around the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland coasts, operating 238 lifeboat stations and more than 240 lifeguard units.

The Princess Royal attended The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo rehearsal at Redford Barracks.

As Patron of the Tattoo since 2006, HRH met with the international cast, military personnel, and crew responsible for bringing the Tattoo to life. This year, more than 800 people from around the world will perform against the iconic backdrop of Edinburgh Castle.

The King has visited Dingwall, in the Scottish Highlands, as the town celebrates 800 years since it was granted Royal Burgh status.

👩‍🚒 His Majesty met volunteers, community groups, young people and emergency service representatives who embody the creative and community spirit of the town.

🎖️ The King presented the King’s Award for Voluntary Service to representatives of Evanton Wood Community Company, and Highland and Island Blood Bikes, in recognition of their support for the community.

🎶 His Majesty also heard performances from local music groups and Highland Dancers.

🎉🍼 Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, born on Monday, 3rd August 2026, at 6.20pm, at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal.

The baby was born weighing 6 pounds 9 ounces.

Their Majesties The King and Queen and other members of The Royal Family were delighted to be informed of the news.

The Princess and Princess of Wales, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were accompanied by Scottish swimmer Archie Goodburn, who has brain cancer, at the Commonwealth Games today. Mascot Finnie exchanged high fives and cheekily mimicked Charlotte shivering.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have brought their three children to the Commonwealth Games today and are currently watching the Australia vs Jamaica netball. It’s the first time the children have been seen publicly in Scotland either officially or privately, we understand.
