There is a tragic, short-sighted vanity in the way certain elites milk African wealth.
They plunder billions, yet leave behind no universities, no world-class hospitals, no critical infrastructure, and nothing of substance to sustain the continent's future.
Instead, their entire legacy is reduced to a mountain of material excess, million-dollar collections of luxury shoes and fleeting symbols of consumerism.
Plundering your own nation is a fool's errand.
It is a primitive form of accumulation, entirely distinct from the visionary intelligence that builds lasting empires.
True visionaries understand that everlasting wealth is created by developing systems, uplifting societies, and investing in human capital.
Extracting resources from your own impoverished continent doesn't make you a mastermind; it simply reveals an intellectual bankruptcy that destroys the very soil meant to sustain future generations.
URGENT MESSAGE!!!
Greetings, I am Julius Mkhwanazi's baby mama. I have a child with Julius Mkhwanazi and I work for the EMPD.
As a woman, knowing very well the people who are responsible for the killings in Ekurhuleni are Julius and Kagiso Lerutle, I can't sleep anymore. I can't keep quiet, the guilt is too much. I'm sick and tired.
Lerutle told Julius that he will go to a traditional healer for their murder case to vanish. The healer told Lerutle that in order for the case to end, he must go back to where he killed that woman and perform a ritual. That ritual is to connect with the dead woman's spirit for the case to end. For that to happen, women need to die the same way that he killed the woman and dumped her.
As long as Lerutle is still not arrested, the killings will go on. In order for this to stop, both Lerutle and Julius must be arrested!
I KNOW THAT I'M NEXT IN LINE BUT I AM NOT SCARED OF THEM ANYMORE! I will also die like those women who are being sacrificed.
Lerutle and the Mayor misled the whole country (South Africa) by stating that Julius Mkhwanazi is fired. JULIUS MKHWANAZI IS NOT FIRED, it was all an act! He is still in the Municipality's payroll and getting all the benefits. You can even come to HR and check for yourselves. When someone is fired, an original letter must be sent to the HR office for the HR to take them off the payroll system, but for Julius that is not the case because Lerutle promised to bring Julius back to work after all this saga has finished.
And the Mayor had the nerve to stand boldy and called the press conference to tell the citizens that Julius was fired, knowing very well that Julius was not fired, but he continued to do the press conference to mislead the country.
This was just an act from Lerutle to shift the focus off from Julius.
Residents of Tshwane, this afternoon we made an oversight visit to the Njala Substation. Our teams are currently implementing a plan that will allow the restoration of power to most areas of the City. We understand that this has been a frustrating time for many of you. We apologise for the disruption to your daily lives.
The plan outlined by our Energy and Electricity Business Unit gives us hope that we will be able to restore power.
While we temporarily implement a load rotation system, we ask for your patience as our teams work through a crisis that’s been complicated by the rain.
