@RosayRosado I've been at it for about 2 weeks now. It has made me more mindful of each meal though as I'm aiming to get at least 40-50g each meal. Sometimes we'll do spaghetti and meatballs, and I might eat some extra nuts, cheese or yogurt for dessert as usually the meatballs aren't enough.
So trying to get stronger for both general health and my sporting hobbies. My biggest challenge is eating enough protein to support my workouts. To my weightlifting friends, how do you do it?
@RosayRosado Yeah...I do a between lunch and dinner snack with some cheese, greek yogurt, and fruit. And I do a protein powder milk shake sometime during the day, and that gives me the extra 30-40 g between regular meals. I think this has been a missing piece for me.
@therealjsega Awesome. Some of my best memories as a child was playing against my father. I didn't play as much against my kids, but they play their friends and played in a few tournaments when they were younger.
Although I am not competiting in #chess currently, I still enjoying teaching youngsters. One key thing I've been teaching one student is calculating "one move at a time." You can be considering many candidate moves, but you have to make a judgment of each one individually....
@therealjsega A slight nuance to this: You have to see the whole board and devise a strategy or plan, then you focus on individual moves to calculate. So I'm not saying just look at one move at a time without making a plan.
on the treadmill, in which case, I'm watching Youtube π ). If I'm at work, I'm focused on the "next action" that I'm performing in a particular project. In any case, maybe I'm projecting, but I found this line of thought interesting and I hope you do too.
