A 16 year old Class 11 girl from Uttar Pradesh was gang-raped inside a moving sleeper bus.

She had left home after an argument with her family and was travelling to meet her cousin in Noida.

During heavy rain, she mistakenly got off at Pari Chowk and asked an empty sleeper bus for help.

The driver, Kuldeep, and conductor, Sandeep, allowed her onto the bus.

Police said the conductor made obscene advances before both men raped her and threatened to kill her when she resisted.

The bus then travelled nearly 47 km towards Kashmere Gate.

The accused abandoned her near the Kashmere Gate bus terminal and fled.

She approached the police, after which Kuldeep and Sandeep were arrested.

The sleeper bus has been seized and sent for forensic examination.

“When I Went Home From my School, I Had No Family, No Home…”

She is only a little schoolgirl.

She should be worrying about her homework, her school uniform, her exams, and what she will play with her friends after school.

Instead, she is standing before the ruins of her life.

The devastating floods in Nepal did not just take away her house.

The flash flood took away her entire family.

With tears in her eyes and a voice carrying a pain no child should ever have to know, she said:

«“When I went home from school, I had no home, no family. Everything is gone.”»

Imagine being a child and knowing that when the school bell rings, there is no mother waiting for you.

No father to ask how your day was.

No brother or sister to laugh with.

No familiar voice calling your name.

No family dinner.

No bed waiting for you.

No home.

She lost the people who made the word home mean something.

The floodwaters will eventually disappear.
The mud will be cleared.
The roads will be rebuilt.
Houses may rise again.

But how does a child rebuild a life when the people who gave her that life are gone?

Her little voice says only a few words:

“Everything is gone.”

But behind those words is an entire childhood that disappeared beneath the floodwaters.

Tonight, somewhere in Nepal, a little girl will close her eyes knowing that she has lost the one thing every child should always have:

A family to come home to.

May God give her strength.
May He protect the children who have survived this catastrophe.
And may the souls of those who were lost rest in peace.

No child should ever have to say, “I have no family.” 💔🇳🇵
