There are more than 352,000 unsolved homicides in the US from 1965 through 2024. National US murder clearance rates (percentage solved via arrest or exceptional means) peaked at 93% in the early 1960s and have since shown a clear long-term decline. The current rate of 61% solved (about 39% unsolved) in 2024 is a slight uptick from the low of near 50% in the 2020-2022 timeframe.
@andrewmccalip Major structural components in commercial aircraft are designed to a safety factor of 1.5 per FAA 14 CFR § 25.303, while manned spacecraft can use a minimum ultimate factor of 1.4 per NASA-STD-5001B.
The MV-75 is significantly smaller and lighter than the MV-22, with a maximum takeoff weight of roughly 31,000 lb compared to 52,600 lb. It has roughly double the combat radius while cruising at similar or slightly higher speeds. The MV-75 has a much wider wingspan of 82 ft versus 46 ft on the MV-22 and markedly lower disk loading, resulting in superior hover efficiency and far less violent downwash. It achieves meaningful weight and complexity savings through its second-generation design with fixed nacelles (only the rotors tilt) and a straight, non-folding wing optimized for land-based operations rather than shipboard compatibility.
The 8,133.4 metric tons (8,965.5 American tons) is worth less than $1.2 trillion at $4,539.37 per troy ounce.
To back every US dollar in circulation (i.e., physical currency/notes and coins) 100% with gold at the current spot price, the US would need roughly 9,600 more American tons of gold.
@esherifftv When Starship & its tanker dock and perform the first orbital propellant transfer, playing Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On” during the live feed is humanity’s righteous duty. This coupling is the conception of our interplanetary future. 🚀
@elonmusk 1. Fix the court system that is weaponized against fathers.
2. Fix the cost of living crisis…you may be on track to solve this one with Optimus.
To replicate the study's low-level red light therapy for myopia control using a DIY two-LED setup, use a pair of 3W 650nm LEDs spaced about 2.44 inches apart (matching average adult interpupillary distance for direct alignment with each eye). Position the corneas approximately 4.9 inches from the front plane of the LEDs to achieve the target irradiance of 3 mW/cm² at each eye, noting that irradiance levels are contributory between the LEDs to reach the overall desired intensity, ensuring symmetric distribution and optimal retinal exposure. Apply for 3 minutes twice daily, with proper eye safety precautions.
Per Grok: The 2025 National Health Care Fraud Takedown, announced by the DOJ on June 30, 2025, has resulted in several guilty pleas and convictions, though many of the 324 cases remain ongoing or in pretrial stages as of March 2026. Below are the known outcomes from publicly reported cases tied to this takedown:

Sentenced to 15.5 years (186 months) in prison, ordered to pay $614,945,420 in restitution, and forfeit $279,912,916 in fraudulent proceeds.
- **Jeffrey King** (District of Arizona): Pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit health care fraud and wire fraud in the same $1.2 billion wound graft scheme. Sentenced to 14 years (168 months) in prison, ordered to pay $605,690,110 in restitution, and forfeit $130,813,658 in fraudulent proceeds.
- **Renat Abramov** (Eastern District of New York): Pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit money laundering in connection with laundering over $8 million in proceeds from a $10 billion Medicare fraud scheme involving fraudulent durable medical equipment claims (part of Operation Gold Rush within the takedown). Sentencing is scheduled for April 20, 2026; maximum possible sentence is 20 years in prison.
Additional convictions and sentences from the takedown may emerge as cases progress, but no further details are available at this time.
@GrassFedBitcoin Thanks for the video. While my nodes already run Knots, I had completely missed the BIP-110 developments.
I will begin converting my multiple nodes to incorporate the BIP-110 protocol this weekend.

1. Break any official land speed record Current: 763 mph (absolute wheeled, ThrustSSC, 1997). Choose a category like electric (>400 mph), motorcycle (>400 mph), or wheel-driven (>500 mph).
2. Mine 1 full Bitcoin (1 BTC) entirely with hardware you personally own and operate Accumulate 1 BTC from your own mining rewards over time. At current difficulty (~95T), you’d need ~50–200 PH/s running 24/7 for years (or a lucky hit), but it’s a proven personal milestone for dedicated ops.
3. Beat the current Jules Verne Trophy (fully crewed, non-stop circumnavigation) Current: 40 days 23 hours (IDEC Sport, Francis Joyon, 2017). Shave time off with a next-gen maxi-trimaran.
4. Climb all 14 × 8,000 m peaks without supplemental oxygen Current: Unachieved. The last untouched “impossible” list in mountaineering.
5. Set a new altitude record for a manned balloon (>45 km) Current: 41,419 m (Red Bull Stratos, 2012). Push higher with advanced composites.
6. Keep a human-powered helicopter airborne for longer than 3 minutes while remaining above 3 meters Current: 64 seconds (AeroVelo Atlas, 2013). Extend duration with refined rotor tech.
7. Complete the Explorers Grand Slam (Seven Summits + both Poles) in under 100 days Current: 117 days (multiple holders). Optimize logistics for sub-100.
8. Fly a pedal-powered aircraft non-stop across the English Channel and back (round trip) Current: Unachieved (one-way: 35.8 km, Gossamer Albatross, 1979). Straight-line distance: ~71.6 km.
9. Break the unassisted, unsupported South Pole speed record (coast to Pole) in under 24 days Current: 24 days 02 hours (Matthieu Tordeur, 2024). Edge under with ideal conditions.
10. Fly a pedal-powered aircraft farther than 115.11 km in a straight-line distance Current: MIT Daedalus 88 (1988). Target 120+ km with modern ultralights.
11. Solo swim across the English Channel faster than 6 hours 45 minutes 25 seconds Current: Andreas Waschburger (England to France, 2023). Leverage tides and technique.
12. Summit Everest without supplemental oxygen faster than 16 hours 45 minutes (from North Base Camp) Current: Hans Kammerlander (1996). Improve pacing on the North side.
13. Break the absolute water speed record (>317 mph) Current: 317.59 mph (Spirit of Australia, Ken Warby, 1978). Target 320+ mph with hydrofoils.
14. Solo kayak the Northwest Passage (Arctic) in under 36 days Current: Frederik Reuter (2012). Exploit melting ice for shorter routes.
15. Drive a production car around the Nürburgring Nordschleife faster than 6:30.70 Current: Mercedes-AMG One (2024). Shave seconds with aero and tires.
16. Hike the entire Appalachian Trail unsupported in under 41 days Current: Andrew Skurka (2007). Average 50+ miles/day with zero resupply.

How did Mike Duncan think this would play out?
I’ve listened to the entire 179 episodes of The History of Rome at least 5 times over the years. Listened to all of his Revolutions podcast as well. I bought the hard cover version of his Storm Before the Storm as well as the audio book version of it just to contribute to the guy who did History of Rome. I bought the audio book of his Hero of Two Worlds.
I will never buy or support another thing he ever does. What the is going on in academia? Just like actors or musicians, I don’t want to know your political beliefs. You just lost at least half your audience.
@CarlBMenger The debt is $37.5 trillion. No lasting benefit from revaluing gold to $3,500/oz. This one trick pony would bring the grand total to $915 billion. BFD.
Nothing stops this train indeed.
