- The US has not mined tungsten commercially since 2015, and dependence on foreign tungsten, particularly from China, is nearly total for aerospace and military applications.

- New US laws prohibit the use of Chinese tungsten in military equipment, creating an urgent need for alternative sources.

- The merger created Kaz Resources (ticker KAZR), with the Trump sons holding about 20% of the company, although their names were not mentioned in the announcement.

- Their spokesperson claims they are passive investors with no government involvement.
