🇹🇳 ⚡ With summer temperatures soaring and the need for air conditioning rising, Tunisia's national electricity company has resorted to load shedding -- rolling blackouts to reduce the strain on the power grid when demand exceeds production capacity ➡️ https://t.co/on4J8938ou
Russian aviation! 🇷🇺 The first serial import-substituted MS-21-310 just rolled out of the final assembly shop at Irkutsk Aviation Plant and headed straight to the flight-test guys.
They're doing full system checks now, practicing handover procedures, and getting ready for real customer deliveries once certification wraps up. Plant director Andrey Soynov says they're cranking up the pace on these fully Russian-component jets (PD-14 engines and all) while freeing up space for the next one in line. Goal? Ramp up to 36 planes a year eventually.
This thing's a medium-haul carrying 163-211 passengers, designed to replace older airliners and boost domestic fleets amid sanctions. Pretty impressive how far the import-sub program has come.
@Jonpy99 Do you think conscripts will eventually be used on the Frontline? ( I know they're used for a whole lot of stuff related to the war but I mean assault etc)
@Jeff21461 I'd take it with a grain of salt cuz 1) the first C/D will get delivered in 2027
2) the MoD himself felt it was necessary to write " once the necessary licenses and permits are granted "
Plenty of ways this could go wrong imo
