Critical Youth Theory - Intentionally resist a set of ideas that have historically and culturally stopped young people from holding positions of power by inspiring true innovation and ethical action with a lasting impact.
@bikepractically Would that MiTrain have any private partners? What about major shipping businesses that would've benefited? Could be a great source of motivated allies to restart the push!
@CraigDMauger We say no to all businesses that want to profit off of and not serve our community!
How could you sleep at night if you can't run your business without running the risk of the deaths of innocent people.
How do you sleep comfortably in a bed a murderer bought for you?
Michigan senators revised one of their gun reform proposals Thursday to remove legal immunity protections for gun sellers and manufacturers.

Really curious to know what these numbers really mean.
1. 31% poverty in the city, especially when unemployment is at 7% is not a good number at all. And this is the best number we have had in 17 years.
2. Are we really becoming wealthier or are some just leaving the city?
Mayor Duggan mentioned Detroit having the lowest poverty rate in 17 years. We've found that in 2005, Detroit's poverty rate was 31%. In 2021 there were also 31% of Detroiters living in poverty. https://t.co/K37KFchD3F

Mayor Duggan claimed Detroit's unemployment rate has dropped below 7% for the first time since 2000. Our fact-checkers have determined it has dropped, but it is in part because the number of people looking for a job has dropped, not that more people are employed. (Source below)
