@NormaFoleyTD1#budget2024
The addition of more tea hers and SNA's is welcome development but will need diversity especiwith SNA's who will deal with ethnic minority kids who speak a different language at home. Who may have kids dealing with trauma...etc
#Budget2024 gives a €1m fund for research of growing up on Ireland. A welcome initiative however we have been advocating for an intercultural youth strategy and hope that this research will communicate the need for an ethnic minority youth strategy in Ireland.
@Black_andirish we still advocating for an intercultural youth strategy and SNA's are an opportunity to give diversity in teaching staff in schools and introduce methods that make ethnic minorities to have more access and understanding in schools.
The budget still has no appetite to introduce an Intercultural Youth Strategy. We welcome the €1m fund in research of growing up in Ireland but hope that reasonable input from ethnic minorities will be accommodated. SNA's are an opportunity to provide diversity in schools.
@cubbieXbrando@mhdksafa 🩷 when this video was circulating, her parents reached out. It broke my heart to see, so I sent her a little video 🩷
there is no room for racism in any sport or at all !!!!
Such incidents can be avoided and not justified if diversity is implemented as a strategy for sports Ireland and emphasis on equal opportunity for all athletes becomes a fundermental goal of structures and officials.
Welcome to Ireland where people get away with racism! This little black girl broke my heart. Don’t skip this post without leaving a million heart for her. Make her famous…
When I was in my early 20s, a man I was sat next to at dinner slipped his hand under the table and up my leg, while carrying on a conversation with the person on his other side. That man is a senior politician, a household name in Ireland. #MeToo
