this dude’s Wikipedia entry fascinated me so I had to get his autobiography lol. He was a white Jewish dude but literally had himself declared Black on his draft registration, told COs in jail that he was Black so he could be housed with Black people, lived in Harlem, and introduced weed to the nascent jazz scene, one of the first slang terms for it was “Mezz”. The original quirked up white boy.
Just learned that Kate Bush’s 1980 Christmas performance of “Babooshka” was recently uploaded to the INA Chansons YouTube channel in HD. I just watched it five times in a row.

Todd Field is so cool. Created Big Chew Gum when he was a kid. Was a character actor in the 90s and worked with Stanley Kubrick. Takes 5-15 years inbetween his movies. Everytime he releases one it gets nominated for like 8 oscars. Was in an episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force
That being said, I did enjoy Everything Everywhere All At Once. Quite fun, zany, colorful and lively and it looks like that cast and crew developed a very obvious bond that was nice to see in their winning sweep.
Man, those Academy voters really didn't like Tár, eh? I thought it'd at least get one of its nominations.
Whole show felt largely like split between All Quiet on the Western Front and Everything Everywhere. I'm honestly a bit surprised.
I always think back to the MGS2 tanker and its high level of granular detail. Rather than modern games aiming for larger worlds, I'd like to see someone tackle smaller but insanely detailed environments packed to the brim with interactive elements and granular destruction.
Difficult to separate the religious right's renewed attacks on the supposed perversion of queer people with the increasingly obvious and well-documented fact that few institutions have fostered more widespread sexual abuse than the church https://t.co/a0bf91e9Bf
