So here it is. The Paolo Banchero and AJ Griffin Super Thread. I have no idea how long this will be, and I might not even be done by the time you see this, but enjoy! Make sure to like and retweet and share this, I hope I get to influence others and spread the knowledge.
I will probably never forget that game. And what a game from Jose Alvarado to help the Knicks to within 1 game of the title. I guess there’s more to having a ball handler than “just adding a point guard for the sake of adding a point guard.”
Everyone making fun of De’Aaron Fox, but in the live moment when you’re chasing a basketball like that in the backcourt with the clock winding, at least 50% of people, including other NBA vets, would go for the layup. It’s a lot harder than it seems from the couch.
This is the first time since iPhone X Apple has changed the swipe down objectives, and all they did was add a middle one, what are you possibly teaching your mother every year?
Every year I sit down with my mother to explain how to use her phone and every year Apple sends 750 engineers into their little labs underneath their demonic Cupertino crop circle to come up with new and exciting ways to confuse her
ESPN is a ~zero growth business with declining profitability.
By 2029, they’ll be even more impoverished. If their (presumably low, by then) bid takes the World Series, MLB’s in trouble.
I see people of all stripes on my timeline calling him weak, which sure, is a logical outtake I guess, but my counterpoint is this: If he ignites a head on war with Iran, who’d be right back on the timeline criticizing the admin for starting a new war? Can’t have it both ways.
People over think these, Dylan has every right to only go where he wants to, and Steve Yzerman has no reason to acquiesce to these demands. Every NHL player wants to be in Vegas, Florida, or Minnesota, good for Dylan, but not at the expense of the Red Wings’ future.
Dylan Larkin has submitted a list of where he would like the Detroit Red Wings to trade him. It's only three teams long, and may need to expand. Details here:

@LawsonsCreek@GfedGoCrazy Not even the Illinois politicians agree with you, their most desperate proposal was to spend $1 Billion dollars on renovating it AGAIN, which shows you clearly there is something wrong with it.
@LawsonsCreek@GfedGoCrazy You’re right on that point, but the benefit of a pro sports teams isn’t just dollar for dollar return, and a city like Chicago has much more potential to run a ROI with an enhanced arena district.
@LawsonsCreek@GfedGoCrazy And the dollars put in by the public aren’t received back, but there is no replacement for being a city that has pro sports teams. The only difference between Kansas City and Lincoln Nebraska is that KC has the Chiefs and Royals, and you can bet they’ll pay whatever to keep them.
@LawsonsCreek@GfedGoCrazy Then how do you propose any stadium ever being built? There are owners even poorer than the McCaskey’s, how would they do it? You are severely underestimating the benefit of having a sports team. I understand most stadiums don’t deliver on the promises they make…
@LawsonsCreek@GfedGoCrazy And while we’re at it, absolutely no one thinks Soldier Field is up to par. It’s the smallest stadium in the league, with the fewest premium seating, archaic concourses, with bad transportation to and from the stadium, and it’s landlocked with no potential for expansion.
@LawsonsCreek@GfedGoCrazy Tons of studies on what? The McCaskey’s have already committed around $2 Billion dollars, not including the $197 million they put in to buy the Arlington Heights property. They’re literally just asking for the minimum support for surrounding infrastructure.
@LawsonsCreek@GfedGoCrazy They literally don’t have the money, all their wealth is tied to the team’s equity, which isn’t liquid. And sports teams don’t make as much as you think, especially the Bears given their restraints, to warrant spending every dollar they possibly have without public help.
@TomeiTyler@GfedGoCrazy The McCaskey’s are not your traditional type of owners, most of their wealth is tied to the team, they don’t actually have billions in liquid to spend on a new stadium.
I’m not a New Yorker, but there’s absolutely no way. Eli Manning stopped the Patriots perfect season and then snatched Tom Brady’s chain a 2nd time, nothing Brunson ever does will come close. But I get it, recency bias.
