@sosaysShelze Girl...
It's billed as a horror/comedy, but so far, I have failed to see the humor. I'm usually ducking, hiding my eyes and turning on some extra lights. I take that back. I watch this in the daytime. I'd recommend you do the same. 😆
Prince - Raspberry Beret.
It's just not one of my go-to's.
It's not even in my Top Twenty.
It's okay, but if it comes on the radio, I'll let it ride until I find something else.
Folks who've been here for a while looked at today's prompt and started stretching 😂
I modified this prompt category this year in an effort to keep things from going off the rails (because sometimes y’all go too far - I’ve never gotten over the person who said “Lift Every Voice & Sing” was trash 😫)
So instead of “Song everybody loves that you hate,” we’re going to keep some love in it, so y’all can be civil. (But you probably won’t).
For Day 11 of the #BlackMusicMonthChallenge, share a song you DON’T like from an artist you love.
@RealRannMiller Completely agree. I believe it was Dubois that said, "An educated man is not a man of institutional learning or celebrated volumes of books. An educated man is a man who can manipulate society and not let society manipulate him."
That's what I meant by educated.
@RealRannMiller Well, I don't have a generation to leave anything to, so it's really of no concern to me. I think my hang-up would be to guard against entitlement. As offspring, it wasn't your choice to be born. You are owed food, clothing, shelter, and education. Education is subjective.
@urfavv_goddess I was never a fan of NeNe's, but I think there's an element that few consider when talking about RHOA.
It was the FIRST Black franchise!
That alone is enough. With or without NeNe, this conversation could still be had about someone else, had she not been on the show.
Vegan Diary: I tried cauliflower steaks for dinner tonight and they were amazing. THIS vegan outing is a keeper. I think what I need to do is stay away from the vegan version of meals I'd normally eat. It's a mind trick, but this way, I don't have any expectations.
@ah_keel I think a few things.
1. TV actors wanted to be feature film stars.
2. Feature film stars looked down on TV actors.
3. Money.
4. Money.
5. Money.
Ultimately, the networks stopped pouring money into weekly movies when cable stations, read: Lifetime, made it their mission.
@ah_keel I can't. I don't care about most of those people and it is purely for entertainment and distraction. Yes, I will cop to being invested in a few of them, but to rank them, I would have to say they're all trash.
