C. S. Lewis was an English Anglican who came to Christianity through reason, not emotion. He fought in the First World War and spoke with the seriousness of someone who had seen real life and real death. His conversion began in deep discussions with Tolkien at Oxford, and from then on he defended the faith with clarity and backbone. He believed Christianity is objective truth and that society should bend to Christianity - not the other way around. He rejected soft, sentimental religion and called the Christian life warfare against sin and weakness. “We are in enemy-occupied territory,” he wrote - meaning the world is not neutral, and a man must stand firm. And that is where it hits today. A culture that mocks faith, blurs all morality, and tries to soften men is exactly the kind of world Lewis warned about. His answer was simple: stand, fight inwardly, and live the faith without compromise.
