Another thing I absolutely love about Kuroblood’s art is that everything has a thickness. Almost nothing is flush against the clothes. If you look at Lee and Chongyue’s arts, most of the decorations are raised above the fabric. This is achieved through highlights and shadows.
I am studying Kuroblood’s art style and have to kneel at the top class shell shading skills. He always illustrates very clear form with very few shades (3-4 at most) and little blending. Everything is so readable despite looking complicated.
