This is Ustad Nusrat's legendary concert of Birmingham. He arrived here after reciting Gurbani and Guru Gobind's eulogy "Mitar Pyaare Nu" at a nearby Gurudwara. Some of those Sikh attendees accompanied him here.

"Drink" in Sufi mystical poetry is a metaphor for the elixir of divine love (ishq). "Wahabbi" is a euphemism for close-minded extremists that obsess with rituals over this very elixir of divine love. "Saaqi", the tavern-keeper, is usually Imam Ali, the Patron Saint of all Sufi saints. "Drink", "drunkard", "tavern" - these are all core metaphors in Islamic mystical poetry, transcending the languages of Arabic, Persian, Urdu, and of course, Punjabi here.
