Apollyon Dynamics, a defense-tech startup founded by two 20‑year‑old students from BITS Pilani’s Hyderabad campus, has delivered indigenous unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to Indian Army units in Jammu, Chandimandir, Panagarh and Arunachal Pradesh within two months of launch.

Founded by Jayant Khatri and Sourya Choudhury, the startup specializes in designing and manufacturing custom unmanned aerial systems tailored for India’s defense and surveillance needs.

All systems are built in‑house, with an emphasis on reliability and adaptability across terrains and missions.

In a recent campus demonstration attended by BITS Pilani Chancellor and Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla, the founders showcased their technology, underscoring the institution’s role in fostering deep‑tech innovation with national impact.

Apollyon Dynamics’ lineup includes multi‑role UAVs for long‑range surveillance, tactical payload delivery and high‑precision kamikaze operations.

The kamikaze platform, according to the founders, can reach speeds exceeding 300 km per hour while delivering payloads up to 1 kg with high accuracy.

The startup also provides hands‑on training to soldiers, ensuring that even personnel with no prior flying experience can quickly operate the drones. Its trainer UAVs are already widely adopted by Army units for their ease of use and innovative design.
