@tealyuck@Sakuraida98@pingwinstivi They have always been forbidden to work on non-union as union members it's just that now it's being enforced. And there are unions outside of the US that function perfectly fine without this "must join" thing and taft hartley.
@tealyuck@Sakuraida98@pingwinstivi To clarify: "refusal to work" ≠ "just don't want to work" they are refusing to work in order to turn the project union, and some are forbidden to work cuz it's non-union. Also this process of unionizing is exclusive to the US and maybe a handful of other countries.
@ErrorRaffyline0@Demonking1YT Not to mention bringing up his private life in order to try to explain why he wouldn't need the job is straight up stalking behavior.
@ErrorRaffyline0@Demonking1YT If you don't see how clearly passive aggressive the comments the VAs made were, nor the tweets where some of them saying "attack scabs" (clearly talking about jacob btw) then I understand that you are blind to the bullying and harassment.
@StreamGrim@rainssoliloquy@CrossMight @ScaraSora97 I know, I just wrote down what I've understood that the VAs are asking for based solely on what Joe said in his video. Doesn't mean I don't find it odd for them to still ask for it when it seems like they already got it.
@GyuShinoo@B_Rabbit843@guujiyaoi@JoeZieja Like they finally feel threatened and want to create an example so that no one would dare to replace them then they decided that the "passing on the flame" was written with bad intent in order to have something to excuse them attacking a colleague
@GyuShinoo@B_Rabbit843@guujiyaoi@JoeZieja I honestly do not know if him living in japan had anything to do with it. Could just just be because he was the first one to replace a VA who refused to work and the way he worded his announcement.
@rainssoliloquy@CrossMight @ScaraSora97 3. To raise the pay so that everyone gets union rate and can afford membership fee (though keqing VA said they already get union rate?)
4. So that everyone can reach the 27000 USD/year bar for healthcare while working on Genshin
@rainssoliloquy@CrossMight @ScaraSora97 From my understanding they are doing this to make hoyo go union so that they
1. Have a more solid AI protection that covers both teaching AI and creating AI to their likeness
2. Will be able to utilize the unions legal team if the protection is broken
@B_Rabbit843@guujiyaoi@JoeZieja Well it's
1. He still didn't technically scab and
2. The employer usually doesn't tell their new employee why the previous one left the role
3. Don't look for evil in people, IF he actually DID know he wouldn't have written it that way
@GoblinHestia@guujiyaoi@JoeZieja You're only a scab if you take a role from someone that's ACTUALLY STRIKING and since what's going on with hoyo is actually technically NOT A STRIKE he's technically NOT A SCAB. Hoyo was NEVER STRUCK. Get that through your head.
@DonAnonymous_@IcyPantsVA@JoeZieja Mihoyo won't be able to no matter what I think but Hoyoverse might be able to, it might be another thing that's just "it depends" as Joe says multiple times in the video.
@TimeskipKun @kmjr1207 I'm in full support of the VAs who strike quietly. Also this is pretty much an issue only inside the US part of the industry. Voice actors in other countries already have the ai protection in the law of their countries.
@RichieTavake@CliffordChapin I feel like there's also a problem in people in the branch being vague and not giving sufficient clarity. People want clarity. Ignoring that, calling them idiots or saying stuff like "we're the pros, you don't know anything " is just adding fuel to the fire.
@Sakuraida98 @TheAquawave @ARESEs2 They can strike it's just that they're not protected doing it because its non-union thus cannot be struck. Which means hoyo could have replaced them months ago but they didn't so I think hoyo has been pretty patient so far with them
