بعد ضياع ركلة الجزاء الأخيرة وإعلان تتويج باريس بدوري أبطال أوروبا...
الكاميرات بدأت تبحث عن وجوه لاعبي أرسنال.

إحباط.
دموع.
صدمة.

لكن لقطة ديكلان رايس كانت مختلفة.
كان مبتسمًا.
هادئًا.
وكأنه يرفض أن يسمح للحظة واحدة أن تمحو رحلة كاملة.

الأجمل من اللقطة كانت تصريحاته بعد المباراة.
رايس لم يبحث عن شماعة.
لم يهاجم زميل��ا.
ولم يلمح إلى أن أحدًا تسبب في ضياع اللقب.

بل قال بكل وضوح:
"لولا إيزي وجابرييل لما فزنا بالدوري الإنجليزي."

ثم أكمل:
"في الموسم الأول وصلنا لربع النهائي، وفي الثاني لنصف النهائي، وفي الثالث للنهائي. حققنا حلم الدوري، ولدي شعور أننا سنعود و��حقق دوري الأبطال أيضًا."

وهنا تفهم لماذا الجميع يحب هذا اللاعب.
لأنه في عز الانتصار يبقى متواضعًا.
وفي عز الانكسار يبقى مؤمنًا.

أتذكر عندما بدأ أرسنال يبتعد عن الصدارة أمام مانشستر سيتي؟
كان الجمهور يفقد الأمل.
وخرج رايس وقتها بكل هدوء وقال:

"الأمر لم ينته بعد."

ثم عاد أرسنال وحقق اللقب.
واليوم يكرر نفس الرسالة.

نفس الهدوء.
نفس الإيمان.
نفس العقلية.

ولهذا السبب...
هناك لاعبون يمتلكون الجودة.
وهناك لاعبون يصنعون شخصية فريق كامل.

We have had an absolute belter of a season.

Won the league for the first time in 22 years.

Went unbeaten in the champions league and only lost to a world class PSG team on penalties, something no other club could’ve achieved.

Obviously I really want to see Arsenal win the Champions League, but more than anything I want Arsene Wenger to see it.

He deserves it and it’s the only trophy he’s never been able to see us lift.

We came closer than ever before yesterday and I’m so sure we will be back next season, even stronger, to try again.
