Suzume tilted his head, his small eyes fixed on an old wall near the town’s abandoned library. The wall, known locally as “The Whispering Wall,” was infamous for strange rumors. They said if you pressed your ear to it, you could hear the voices of those who had disappeared. “It’s been years since I last came here…” Yukichi muttered as he slid a dull, old knife back into his pocket and approached the wall.
