Just add another regional language subject where students are made to study one of Punjabi Sindhi Pashto Balochi etc. Doesn't matter where you reside in Pakistan. A Sindhi in KPK is still a Sindhi. Ethnicity doesn't change.

Culture shouldn't be imposed on people who don't identify with it.

@Libertarian2009 @welawaqeel689 And that is where you and I differentiate. My loyalty is to the state first, and second to my ethnicity. This is why I define myself as a *Pakistani* Punjabi (Pakistan first).

The idealogy you're adopting is ethnicity first. You wanna know who else does that?

@Libertarian2009 @welawaqeel689 Secondly, Im not against the promotion of the Punjabi language. I'm a Punjabi myself and I know the language is dying out in the modern generation. But the promotion of Punjabi shouldn't be at the cost of Urdu, which unites a Punjabi to a Pathan or a Sindhi.

@Libertarian2009 @welawaqeel689 The only reason Pakistan agreed to Bangla being the second national language of our country was because Bangladesh consisted of 55% of the population of Pakistan, and thus it became very difficult to classify it as a regional language.

Still a blunder in my opinion.

If Pakistan is a country with multiple "nations" and Punjabi is not a language spoken by everyone but only in a certain part of Pakistan (or a region as you may call it) then doesn't that make Punjabi a "regional" language.

@JattDaPutt101 @welawaqeel689 Why do you need to study all the subjects in Punjabi? Many schools here don't necessarily teach all the subjects in Urdu. You can teach the other subjects in English/Urdu and introduce another subject as "Punjabi" reserved only for Punjabi students.

@JattDaPutt101 @welawaqeel689 I agree with you that Pakistanis should adopt an India like policy in preserving regional languages. But India is vast as compared to Pakistan. You can't copy paste the policy, which is why I think every Punjabi student should study Punjabi regardless of where they are in Pak.
