BREAKING NEWS | The crescent moon has been sighted in Saudi Arabia.
Therefore, Ramadhān 1446 will begin tonight.
May Allāh ﷻ accept our siyām, qiyām & acts of worship, and may He grant us the ability to utilise the precious moments of this Blessed month to engage in that which pleases Him. Aameen.
Kind of mind blowing that this is still a thing in NA. At least the "play to win scrims" versus "scrim to try/test/fix things".
If plan A already works, then you should focus on plan B and plan C so that in the event that new opponent stops plan A, you have other plans that you can rely upon.
This also helps develop you as a more rounded team; if your "bread and butter" is doing fast paced plays and you bulldoze everyone, having the option to tempo change and do slow plays, fakes, double fakes, split defaults, etc. will elevate you as you have more tools or weapons in your arsenal.
What's less surprising is that in NA people copy strats/setups that they see without understanding. They look at a certain player that plays a spot. "This is what x player does to defend y position". Ok, and? Why is this important to defend? What are their teammates doing while they do this? How do they connect with their team? OR there's a diff discussion, maybe they take a T side strat. Can you make it more efficient? Maybe use different util? Perhaps someone in the vod/demo made a mistake with their util or their pathing/scaling and now you copy them and do the wrong execution of the plan because you are just copying them instead of understanding why they do it a certain way, the strengths and weaknesses of it, when they would call for it, what set ups would they do in previous rounds to drop the enemy guard, etc.
Seems like NA is "run around and take duels" no matter the round state.
