It was Sane Guruji, a Brahmin, who undertook a prolonged fast at the gates of the Pandharpur temple and successfully led the movement for Dalit entry into the temple.

Yet today, many Ambedkarite voices openly call for the death of Brahmins: including the children of Sane Guruji.
