Why It's a Great Time to Enter in Movement Ecosytem Now and in the Coming Weeks

I've been in crypto for three years now.

When I see the projects launching on Movement and how the core team is cooking, my left nostril twitches.

It smells good to me.

Let me explain why projects in the Movement ecosystem will likely be valued higher than those in other recently launched ecosystems.

I see three main reasons why these projects will experience success in terms of valuation.

I. US Narrative and Institutional Cycle

Without diving into economic considerations (which is not my specialty), the United States remains the world's largest economic power and was the first to seize the cryptocurrency opportunity. The point here is not to debate whether this is good or bad but rather how to position yourself to take advantage of a narrative.

We are currently in an institutional cycle (notably with the Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs), and it makes a lot of sense to me that a US driven narrative could influence the prices of certain cryptocurrencies. One of Trump's key narratives is to "Make America Great Again" and favor American businesses/projects. Again, this is not about passing judgment—just acknowledging reality.

In this category, $MOVE appears to be one of the tokens best positioned to benefit from this narrative. Rushi, the co-founder of Movement Labs, openly identifies as American, and Movement is proudly built in the United States (https://t.co/n3I4QLG1uq)

What interests me here is the clear weight of this narrative within crypto. If this narrative gains traction, I see it as similar to how AI took off in crypto. This is the first time this narrative can truly manifest with Trump as President of the United States.

All the elements for a powerful new narrative are here, in my opinion:

- Everyone is sidelined because it’s completely new, mainly accelerated by Trump’s election (1).

- The US’s influence makes this narrative potentially very strong (2).

II. Large supply of $MOVE’s still to be deployed for ecosystem growth:

So far, Movement has airdropped 10% of its supply as an "initial claim" rewarding activities that took place during the testnet:

This phase was called "Parthenon":

On December 19, 2024, Rushi announced the imminent arrival of Parthenon v2, stating that the focus would shift from the chain itself to the applications being built on Movement:

My personal speculation: A portion of the remaining supply (40% of tokenomics, allocated to the community) could be used to incentivize ecosystem development.

Given that $MOVE currently has a FDV of around $5 billion (despite us being near bear market conditions for alts), even if the foundation allocates just 5-10% of the supply for incentives, it would be massive.

To put this into perspective, I ran similar calculations for Story, which allocated 5% for ecosystem growth. Users and NFT holders could easily speculate on potential airdrops of $500-$1000 or more, far exceeding what most blockchains offer today.

It remains to be seen how this will be executed and which projects will be included.

III. The Growth of the Move Language

Interest in the Move programming language has been increasing in recent months. I've heard from several developers that once they switch to Move, they find it hard to go back to other languages.

Moreover, the market capitalization of SUI (currently ranked 18th) and APTOS (ranked 36th) suggests that projects using Move tend to have a high valuation by the market.

It will be interesting to see how Movement follows this trend.
