April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month! A month for educating yourself and others about sexual assault, how to prevent it, and how to support survivors. Everyone has a role to play in ending sexual assault, harassment, and abuse. #SAAM2022#Buildcommunityohio#believesurvivors
Every time a woman speaks up about her experience of violence and she’s not believed, the cycle of abuse continues. Every time you hear a survivor’s story:
1️⃣ Listen
2️⃣ Believe
3️⃣ Support

It's transgender awareness week! Between November 13th and November 19th, events about, by and for transgender and gender non-conforming folks are happening all across the world. These events culminate in Transgender Day of Remembrance on November 20th.
Thank you to the individuals serving our county currently and to those who have served! And a heartfelt thanks to the family members as well. We love and appreciate you💕
Thank you and Congratulations to our new advocates who completed the required core training for rape crisis centers and are now trained rape crisis advocates. We are so thankful you are with us. Much love! #ywcanwo
Do you know the signs of abuse and how to seek help? As #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth comes to an end, make sure you can spot unhealthy relationship patterns and what to do if you need help: https://t.co/SUQQk6l0ah #DVAM
Strangulation (or the words used to describe a strangulation event) is a deadly form of domestic violence! At the #ywcanwo we encourage you to seek medical care ASAP if you ever experience this form of violence, and tell your dr if you experienced this in the past. #DVAM
On #SelfCareSaturday, we encourage you to take some time to engage in self-care as we close out #WWV21, as it is an integral part of your own mental and physical well-being and will help make you an even more powerful advocate in the critical work to #EndGBV. #WeekWithoutViolence
@WLS4Kids thank you for the book donation! We’re going to use them to provide books to kids in emergency shelter, housing, and some of our community programs. 25 boxes! So generous!!
