@JustineCase1971 @katyenka@MartinSLewis I’m not arguing that saving lives isn’t important. I’m saying the £32m could have been allocated better to save more than 9 people a year. I’m pretty sure there is a state of the art cancer treatment centre in Newport that has closed due to no gov funding.
@katyenka@MartinSLewis How are they paying for both? Increase taxes?
Also, from Wales Online “ A Welsh Government report says there is a potential loss of between £2.8bn and £8.9bn to the wider economy.”
So they have wasted £32m and actually made the country more poor.
@katyenka@MartinSLewis I saw a statistic that it was estimated the new speed limit will save up to 9 lives a year. A quick Google search suggests this speed change has cost the Welsh government £32m. £32m into the Welsh NHS would have saved far more lives than this 20mph change.
