Echoes of the depths
While working on this, I imagined a top-down RPG where this track plays on loop in the background as you wander through endless mazes.
@urgre My first thought was, "I wonder how this would sound if I entered it directly from the sheet music into a DAW—that way I could see just how much of it comes down to interpretation," but I guess you saved me the trouble. I'll take your word for it!
@Kojin_Strike I've listened to some Japanese pop music and vocaloid songs years ago and I believe that for many people the charm of Japanese music lies in how much richer in ideas even J-pop can sound compared to Western pop.
@Kojin_Strike Yes. The same thing can happen with piano sounds when you play a chord on a computer and all the notes start at the same time with the same velocity. It sounds unnatural, but it can sometimes be appropriate, in dance music, for example.

Kultissa ollaan teki miten teki!

@junfukuda1 Yes, the circle is dim, and sometimes specifically dim7.
I've noticed that the "-" symbol is sometimes used instead of "m," and sometimes the triangle indicates just a major chord, and sometimes (in my opinion, mostly) a maj7.

@miyakono_miya That would be fitting, since storms in that part of the world are Godzilla-sized. Here in Finland, we should probably name storms after the Moomins.
