Here is our complaint explaining what happened
Dear madam, sirs.
On checking in at Manchester Airport we were made aware that there was a problem with the length of validity on our daughters passport, they didn’t have required 6 months but only had 4 months which was enough for 2 month trip, we explained that because our daughters held Indonesian nationality as well as British it would be ok,the lady at check in went off and discussed this with superiors on return she said that we had the go ahead and all was ok.
After a sleepless flight with 3 young children we went to transfer in Dubai however at check in the same problem arose and the explanations this time fell on deaf ears with the Dubai Jakarta staff blaming Manchester and the result was not being allowed to continue, 1 member of that team actually told me that she can not believe how we have been treated and she felt disgusted by it but she was not the one in charge ( unfortunately at that time I didn’t take the name as I was in shock )
At customer services in Dubai airport we were told we had to wait and that all baggage had gone to Jakarta so the airport was all we could stay in, after a few occasions of returning we were given drinks and food vouchers but were told on arrival to the restaurant that all we could have is soup, water and fruit.
To be honest the staff dealing with us at Dubai were not compassionate to our case especially travelling with young children and feeling so tired and stressed. Many times we returned to no news until around 10 hours later we were told it’s not possible to fly to Jakarta and then we would have to wait until 3am to fly back to uk, any questions about tickets or a place to rest etc we’re met with “fill in the on line complaint form’ we were in Dubai airport lounge for around 24 hours which I can only describe as hell for myself and children !! We couldn’t change clothes, we didn’t have a quiet place to rest and all that was available through yourselves was water soup and fruit.
Upon returning we found out the baggage had actually been held in Dubai and not sent to Jakarta, why couldn’t we change or have somewhere to rest ? We were actually made to feel like illegal immigrants and not valued customers !!
It has taken a few days to stop being so emotional to write and contact you btw Ash the senior reservations manager we spoke with tonight was very compassionate, understanding and knowledgeable ( a credit to you).
Our understanding is that when we were let on to the flight in Manchester our holiday for the year had commenced and we were about to connect with family in Indonesia some of whom had travelled to meet us in Jakarta and have a wonderful summer however it really did turn in to a nightmare ,Please help us be able to see family and for the kids to have some form of holiday still, we do want this to end with a positive outcome and the children still get their holiday, your compassion and empathy to our situation would be appreciated
One man can’t use a Coutts bank
Millions now using food banks
Which gets the most coverage?
Which gets most Govt intervention?
Which gets the speediest action?
This country is broken.
No 10 is pressuring a CEO to resign on behalf of Nigel Farage.
But not the CEO of P&O who illegally sacked 800 workers
Or the CEO of Avro Energy, who pocketed millions of customers money after going bust
Or other CEOs I’ve questioned for bad behaviour
Spot the difference?

This is frightening, it's the first deep fake video scam I've seen with me in it. Govt & regulators must step up to stop big tech publishing such dangerous fakes. People'll lose money and it'll ruin lives.

🚨 | NEW: Rishi Sunak risks being defined by failure on his own terms in the 2024 election, as he's on track to fail all FIVE of his priorities
- Inflation: rising, not halving
- Growth: heading for a recession

- Boats: rising
@VFSGlobal Hi, is your website having problems? We've already paid and booked an appointment 2 days ago, but it's asking us to book the appointment again?
@itvpeston@leicesterliz@jeremycorbyn Full solidarity with Corbyn who has been vindicated by the #FordeReport Kendall is dishonest to continue the smears against a man ten times her worth. She represents everything that is wrong with @UKLabour There can be no doubt that the scale of AS was exaggerated #ItWasAScam

Truss’ Govt confirms they won’t raise benefits in line with inflation this autumn despite Sunak promising it when Chancellor
But if you’re rich, here’s some more cash
Do they not realise that’s the poorest of our citizens they’re targeting?
Is this some kind of Tory class war?
An old Etonian former investment banker — who represents a party funded by billionaires and big business — delivered a budget on Friday that hands tax cuts worth billions to the super-rich but does nothing for the poorest.
If that’s not class war, what is?
