Hi Twitter
I am happy to announce that I will be relaunching my affordable therapy initiative under the SAME rates, however, the minimum fee is now R100 per session.

Hi there fellow South African people 😄
Again, I'm offering affordable therapy during lockdown, I'm qualified and registered to do so. My flat rate is R450, but under the circumstances, for those who are struggling financially, the rate can be anywhere between R0 and R450
Interested in starting therapy?
Until March 2026, new clients will be charged R250 per session for their first four sessions.
Finding a good fit can feel like a financial barrier to accessing therapy. This reduces the financial burden of "testing the waters".

I am also restarting my free therapy initiative and am opening this offer up to international clients as well given current world events.
If you cannot afford therapy right now but need a space to heal, reach out here or via my PsychologyToday page: https://t.co/K88uNnOaHq
Hi!
I currently have several new openings for therapy sessions due to changes in my schedule.
My focus areas are neurodevelopmental disorders, trauma, anxiety and depression.
My rates are R250 for the first session, and R450 for each session thereafter.

Hi everyone!
I currently have 2 spaces available for weekday afternoon slots.
Please note that my rates remain unchanged - R250 for the first session and R450 for each session thereafter.
A brief introduction to anyone new - I am a private social worker with a focus on depression, anxiety, trauma and grief (CBT-informed).

For reference, my standard rate is R450. Sliding scale rates are available for long term clients.
Pro bono 15 minute video calls are still available but limited.
Hi all! I'm currently doing a new intake.
And to expand on my existing affordability offering (first session rate of R250), I am now also offering the first 3 sessions at R1,000.
Currently, I mostly have spaces for Monday's and Tuesday's
DM if interested!
To my new and old followers, I've had an idea and I want to know if you're interested:
First steps in seeking help can be intimidating. So, maybe having the ability to anonymously ask a question or two before reaching out directly can make this easier?
So... Anonymous Q&A?
Hi all!
Due to higher than expected demand, I will be opening an additional 3 intake spots!
Please note that these may fall into limited timeframes (like late afternoon).
Still on the fence? Reach out and I'll be happy to share my Description of Services document and chat.
Thread (from my personal account) exploring an example of core beliefs and how therapy can be used to resolve irrational, dysfunctional core beliefs.
Please note that my evaluations are general and are not specific to the video. You can't evaluate an individual with a short vid.
Hi all! 😄
I am currently doing a new intake. I have about 3 weekly spaces available.
A reminder that first sessions are charged at R250.
Free 15 minute consults are offered to those who are unsure of if my services are a fit for them, or those who require guidance/referrals.
A reminder to all those enquiring, my current *minimum* rate per session is R200
My standard rate is R450, but accommodation is made for when this amount is unaffordable
The amount you pay does not effect the quality of services rendered, this is purely to improve inclusivity
Ideally, don't mess with any drugs, please.
But especially opioids like heroin. It's more addictive than tik. Don't mess with tik either.
You know what, don't even mess with alcohol. Any client I've seen will know that I don't believe that any amount of alcohol is safe.
People like to say "but alcohol lowers risk for..."
BUDDYYYY
Listen. LISTEN‼️
It's also a major carcinogen, can mess with MULTIPLE organs (heart, stomach, liver etc) and carries way more risk than reward, and what you've just done is commonly referred to as:
Rationalisation
(No charge for DM stuff or 15 minute pro-bono video consultations as per usual. I am passionate about managing ADHD so consider this is a little passion project)
If you're concerned that you may be an adult with undiagnosed ADHD, here's an online screening test developed by clinicians in collaboration with the World Health Organisation:
https://t.co/mZuDeFmrg9
This is NOT a diagnostic tool. It's essentially a symptom checker.
Couple this with the increase in self-disgnosis, self-treatment and self-medication, and there is genuine risk here.
If you're concerned about whether you have ADHD, take a legitimate screening test and depending on the results, follow it up with a clinical assessment.
If you want some pointers on what to do if you score high, DM me and I'll be happy to help you find a suitable professional to help with your assessment.
As a generalist, I can help with symptom management *but I cannot diagnose*, so this will likely be for a referral.
