The parents nowadays have either gone too wise or are softer on their kids in comparison to our days. We were meted out more punishments including physical ones, by our parents. One odd slap from fathers was normal, while mothers were deft at throwing slippers after us, which we could avoid by just ducking. Mothers would also be instrumental in saving kids from their father’s wrath at times. The rules of parenting have undergone a big transformation with the change in times.
